I just received a l-o-o-o-ng voice message from a lawyer. She was responding to an issue I brought forward to a client a few months back. The client reviewed it and decided it was a tangled enough issue that legal counsel would be a good idea. I promptly agreed because the thought of working through all the ins and outs myself brought big, fat wibbles to my heart. It's not that I didn't think I could do it, but more that I know there's a lot more information on the topic out there than I have access to and one needs all that other information in order to arrive at the necessary destination for this issue.
Anyway. I have found that as a general rule, when a person leaves a long message and starts it with, "It's kind of interesting, actually...", the message is going to be interesting in that way that only a nerd or geek can truly appreciate. When I hung up from this message, I was more firmly persuaded in my rule than ever before.
