I don't know what it is about Vacation that brings out The Sleep

I woke up briefly at 5am, then settled back to sleep until 7. At around 9:30 I took a nap on the couch that lasted until 11:30, then shuffled to the bedroom at noon to sleep until about 1:30. After doing a few chores, it was back to bed at 4:30 to sleep until 8:30. Now it's 10pm and I'm ready to turn in for the day.

This seems to happen most times that I have a vacation that includes time at home and/or camping. We leave to go camping tomorrow, so we'll see how the week goes. We do have plans to do things like hiking and bobbing down a river on floaties, but perhaps it's really just going to be napping, eating and sleeping.

What is it about not being at work that brings this on? Is it making up for months of burning the candle at both ends or is it relaxing into the state I'd be in all of the time if I didn't work outside the home?
